What is a Bulletin?
A Bulletin contains information about a Product that Dell wants to make available to customers.

Why do I need a Service Tag when contacting Dell?
Your Service Tag is the easiest way to find support and downloads for your specific product.

How do I find my Service Tag?
Your alphanumeric Service Tag can be found on the bottom of your system or the back of your device. Click Where is my Service Tag?

Why does the page look slightly different in different browsers?
It is almost impossible to create web pages that look/work exactly the same in all browsers. This site has been designed to look the best with browsers: IE 8 or higher, Mozilla Firefox, or Chrome.

How do I remove the data filters the on the Select Products page?
Choose 'Please select' from the filter dropdown to return to the full list.

I'm getting an error message, but the information I have entered is correct. (Example: Status Code or Shipping Address)
Please try clearing your internet browser’s cache.
Internet Explorer: Tools → internet options Browsing History → Delete
Mozilla Firefox: Firefox button → Options → Advanced → Network → Clear Now
Chrome: Chrome menu → Tools → Clear Browsing data → Empty the Cache → Clear browsing data
If this does not fix the error please contact us. Click the Contact Dell link in the upper right section of this page for contact options.

Why did I not get the verification results I expected?
Please check your Service Tag / PPID entries for the following:
  • Special characters (like ! @ # $ %), including dashes and spaces
  • Letter O’s in Service Tags
  • Transposed characters
Also note that the Service Tag and PPID stickers only show upper case characters.
If you are still not getting the response you expect, please click on the appropriate program support link on the Contact Dell page to work directly with a Dell Project Manager.


How do I process if I have multiple locations or install options?
If you have multiple locations to process and/or you want to process multiple installation types (‘Service’ and ‘Self-Install’) please select tags for only one combination at a time. Process Steps:
  • Select the Service Tag(s)/PPID(s) for a single location and install type.
  • Click the ‘Next’ button to proceed to the Contact Information page.
  • Fill in the required information and click the ‘Next’ button to proceed to the Confirmation page.
  • On the Confirmation page, click the ‘Return to Select Products page’ link in the upper right box called ‘Get another recommendation’. This will return you to the page to Selection page.
  • Select the Service Tag(s)/PPID(s) for the next location and install type.
  • Repeat for all other combinations.

I keep getting the error, "An invalid combination of City, State/Province, and ZIP/Postal Code has been entered" on the Contact Information page.
This site uses a Google app to test the addresses. Try following these steps:
  • Go to https://maps.google.com
  • Enter your ZIP/postal code
  • Use the city that comes up
  • Leave the State/Province field blank.
If you still cannot get past this error, please click on the appropriate program support link on the Contact Dell page to work directly with a Dell Project Manager.
